CINCINNATI –

One of the biggest days for college basketball in Cincinnati is Saturday.

The University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier Musketeers will compete in the 92nd Annual Crosstown Shootout.

The meeting point is at 2:00 p.m. at the Fifth Third Arena on the University of Cincinnati campus. The doors are open to visitors from 12 p.m.

For those wishing to watch the game from home, unfortunately it will not be possible to broadcast the game on regular television this year. If you want to watch the game, you need a subscription to ESPN+.

The game has long been one of Cincinnati’s hottest sports rivalries.

Xavier has won the game in the last five meetings between the two teams, with the Bearcats’ last win coming in 2018.

This year, UC has a 7-1 season record heading into the matchup, while Xavier has an 8-2 record.

Given that strong record, both teams said they expect a very hard-fought battle on Saturday.

“I mean, they get told it enough,” said Simas Lukosius, a Bearcats guard. “Everyone knows what it’s about and they don’t need any extra motivation for me. I’m very happy I won it, but I need one more.”

Xavier’s players expressed similar sentiments before the game.

“Last year, the UC game was probably the hardest game I’ve ever been a part of,” said Dayvion McKnight, a guard at Xavier. “It definitely lived up to the hype and I’m ready for it.”

The Bearcats will also debut their new Black Cat jerseys in front of their home crowd.
