100th Annual Classic Turkey Day Celebrations

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Alabama State University has been planning events all week leading up to Thursday’s big game against Tuskegee University.

The 100th annual Turkey Day Classic celebration began last Thursday with a LEAD Speaker Series featuring Kandi Burruss. The gospel celebration “100 Years, 100 Voices: God Did It” took place on Sunday.

Here is the schedule for the rest of the week.

Monday

The Turkey Day Classic Coaches Show will be held at the Nest at ASU Stadium from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m

Tuesday

Turkey Day Golf Classic – Arrowhead Country Club – 8 a.m. – Tickets available Here.

Wednesday

TDC Alumni Brunch – Celebrating the Class of 4, Class of 9 and Silver Classes of 1999 – Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center – 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Register here or call 334-229-4280.

Turkey Day Classic Concert with Fantasia, King George, Doug E. Fresh and more – Dunn-Oliver Acadome – Doors at 6:00 p.m., Show starts at 8:00 p.m. – Tickets available at VarietyEnt.net.

Thursday

Classic Turkey Day Parade – Civil Rights Icon Fred D. Gray Will Be Grand Marshal – Registration Closed – Starting at 8 a.m. in downtown Montgomery on Dexter Avenue

Hornet Walk – 10:45am

Turkey Day Classic Football Game between the ASU Hornets and the Tuskegee Golden Tigers – ASU Stadium – Kickoff 1:00 p.m. – See game tickets www.TicketReturn.com or call 334-229-4551.

The Hornets will take center stage in this historic classic achieve a victory over Prairie View A&M and the Golden Tigers are looking to bounce back from one Homecoming loss to Miles College.

The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
