NFL Week 15 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)

Was Thursday night’s game a harbinger of the weekend to come? We saw that the 49ers and Rams had relatively limited offense throughout the game in rainy conditions. My condolences to all Cooper Kupp managers out there. But hey, it’s PLAYOFF TIME, and if you made it, congratulations! If you didn’t make it, we thank you for your commitment to coming back for a fantasy football article about the weather. You are the real champion here.

There’s a lot to unpack this week, so let’s waste no time and get started!

Play in the early afternoon

Kansas City Chiefs @ Cleveland Browns

HIGH impact. A wet mess is emerging in Cleveland. Temperatures will reach above freezing during the game, so I don’t expect any snow. Mainly rain is expected, along with some mixed precipitation. The chance of rain is currently 90%. Additionally, there will be sustained winds in the low teens. Downgrade all kicking, passing and receiving options; We’ve seen some spectacular things from Jameis Winston so far, but overcoming these conditions would be something different. During the game, temperatures are below 40 °C.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Tennessee Titans

HIGH impact. Another game with a high chance of rain and strong winds. There is a 90% chance of rain during game time. Similar to the Chiefs and Browns, impacts are expected for almost all players. I don’t think there’s a world where you can settle for Joe Burrow or Ja’Marr Chase, but maybe temper your expectations for them on those terms. Winds will be in the low teens, gusting into the low 20s, and temperatures will be in the mid 50s.

Baltimore Ravens @ New York Giants

MEDIUM impact. No rain or anything like that is expected during this game, so that’s a good thing. However, it will be a chilly game (that’s not good). The temperatures are over 30°C and the wind is in the single digits. These numbers combined result in wind chills in the mid-20s to upper 30s. I don’t think you’re going to miss any of your usual players because of the temperature; just something to be aware of. Of course, Derrick Henry doesn’t mind the cold.

Dallas Cowboys @ Carolina Panthers

MEDIUM Effects. There is a small chance of rain (around 40%) during the game. However, winds will be quite light, in the single digits. Just keep an eye on the pre-game reports and see how it all pans out, but I don’t think there’s much to worry about.

New York Jets @ Jacksonville Jaguars

LOW Effects. How on earth did the Jets play two straight road games in Florida in December? Well, while it may be cold and wet in the north, it will be warm and a bit windy (on Sunday) in the south. Expect temperatures to be in the low 70s with winds in the low teens, gusting into the high teens. If anything, you should flex when starting with either kicker. Aside from that, start all of your studs.

Afternoon games

Indianapolis Colts @ Denver Broncos

MEDIUM impact. A windy game is preparing in Denver. Sustained winds will be in the high teens with gusts into the low 30s (!). I think Anthony Richardson’s super-deep throws are taking a hit, and Wil Lutz and Matt Gay are hard to trust from distance.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Philadelphia Eagles

LOW impact. It looks like a beautiful afternoon in Philly, with winds in the single digits and temperatures in the low 40s. Start all your studs.

Sunday night game

Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks

LOW impact. It will rain on Saturday and Monday, but on Sunday evening it seems to be better than expected and there will be no rain. Winds will also be relatively light, in the single digits.

The weather is a dynamic thing and can change! Before kickoff, keep an eye on your local weather source to see if anything changes significantly. Good luck!
