As for Charbonnet, who posted a career-best 134 rushing yards and two touchdowns and 59 receiving yards last week, Macdonald just wants to see the second-year back build on what he’s shown so far. The Seahawks will also have Kenny McIntosh, who gained 38 yards on seven carries last week, and could re-sign George Holani from the practice squad to add even more depth.

“Keep building, running hard, taking care of the rock, finishing the runs,” Macdonald said of his expectations for Charbonnet. “What he does, catching the ball out of the backfield, he does a great job as a defender, he has done that all season. And Kenny Mac and George too, if George is there instead of Ken.”

Tre Brown, who missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury, has been ruled out, but although he will miss a second straight game, the injury does not appear to be serious enough to warrant being placed on injured reserve, Macdonald said.

Also ruled out are safety Jerrick Reed II (quadriceps) and tight end Brady Russell (foot). When asked if any of their injuries were potentially long-term, Macdonald hinted that one or both of them could face a squad change, saying: “We’ll have a look at the two guys, maybe do that in the next day or two an announcement about these guys.”
