Quentin Johnston is very bad, no good day gets him into the Chargers Hall of Shame

For a moment, it seemed like Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston had made the proverbial turnaround and was starting to realize some of the expectations that come with a first-round pick.

That disappeared on Monday night.

There, Johnston had several notable drops during the primetime loss to the Baltimore Ravens before finishing with zero catches on five targets.

According to Joe Reedy of the Associated Press, this performance means Johnston is only the second Chargers receiver with more than five targets and zero catches in a game.

The other one? Travis Benjamin.

Benjamin is an infamous name among fans in Chargers history. He signed a $24 million contract with the Chargers in 2016 as a possible complement to Keenan Allen and never reached 700 yards in four seasons and had many infamous moments, including one of the worst punt returns in the NFL- Story.

The Chargers won’t give up on Johnston just yet, in part because his draft status – and the state of the depth chart – don’t help. But at this point, it’s abundantly clear that wideout will be near the top of the wish list next offseason, with only rookie Ladd McConkey emerging as a reliable weapon for Justin Herbert.
