Garrett Wilson was so frustrated after Aaron Rodgers that the Jets offense didn’t score a touchdown

The New York Jets have little going for them this NFL season after missing the playoffs for the 14th straight season, and their simmering frustration could be starting to make itself felt on the field.

The Jets got off to a pretty good start against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon. Their first offensive highlight came in the first quarter when quarterback Aaron Rodgers connected with Garrett Wilson for a 22-yard touchdown.

Since then, however, Rodgers and Wilson haven’t had much success, and the star wideout has only managed two catches on four targets for 41 yards in nearly three quarters.

After another Jets drive stalled in the third quarter and ended with Rodgers being sacked at the Jags’ 25-yard line, cameras captured Wilson looking visibly upset and frustrated on the sideline. Wilson appeared to angrily argue with his coaches about the Jets’ third-down play that resulted in the sack, which in turn forced the Jets to settle for a field goal.

“If it’s one-on-one, throw away the fade,” thought some lip readers, Wilson told his coach.

At the end of the third quarter, the Jets are currently ahead 17-16 over the Jaguars.
