Yellowstone Season 6? Everything we know

Yellowstone Season 6? Everything we know

What the hell is going on in Montana? At the beginning of the year it seemed clear Yellowstone ended this year with a sequel called The Madison on the heels. But then the alleged conflict between Costner and Sheridan reached a supposed climax, and suddenly the show’s promotion was calling Season 5B a “return” instead of an end. And tonight’s episode is being referred to on social media as a “special season finale” rather than a conclusion to the entire series. Okay, so… more Yellowstone? Not so fast. Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, seems adamant Yellowstone is broken.

Reilly created a farewell video on Instagram. “Whatever the future holds, this is the end of the show we have been making for the last seven years,” she wrote. In this Whatever the Future Holds, a lot is left in the subtext, including the rumored spin-off series starring Reilly and Cole Hauser, which basically could be Yellowstone under a different name, with different executive producers and new streaming rights to negotiate. But Reilly seems ready to say goodbye to the Duttons if The is instead what the future holds. “For Taylor Sheridan, who took the risk and continued to write her in a way that set me on fire as an actress,” she wrote. “Thanks, Taylor.”

Let’s take a look at the other cast members’ social media. Hauser’s IG post this evening calls the “extension.” Yellowstone Finale,” which could be read either way. It’s not a sentimental farewell post like Reilly’s. But maybe he’s just too tough a cowboy to carry on like this. Luke Grimes, on the other hand, posted more apocalyptic. “End of an era. Goodbye Kayce,” he wrote. “You are a better man than me. Thank you to my Yellowstone family for the experience of a lifetime.” Kelsey Asbille also said that there was only “one episode left” in her post.

And Wes Bentley isn’t on social media. How could he show his face after what he had done? John Dutton is dead. He’s dead! Dead.

Last month, Hauser suggested that Sheridan could opt out of the series for another season if he wanted. “Taylor can figure out how to move forward absolutely if he wants to,” Hauser said The Hollywood Reporter. “But that’s only because Taylor is a brilliant writer. I’m not telling you it’s going to continue, it’s just that he’s smart enough as a writer to do that if that’s something he’s passionate about.” We may have to wait for the first details to emerge see what exactly makes Taylor Sheridan passionate. Except Bella Hadid, that is.
