Review of the Chargers Buccaneers Week 15 game

Speaking of the next game, that will take place approximately 96 hours after the end of Sunday’s game.

The Chargers will host the Broncos To Football on Thursday evenings in Week 16. Kickoff is at 5:15 p.m. (PT) at SoFi Stadium.

The Bolts promised to be ready for prime time.

“We throw it away and move on,” Daiyan Henley said. “We have to lick our wounds now.”

Rashawn Slater added: “We have no choice. We’ll play again in four days. It’s a test of who you are as a person, our character as a team. The way I see it, you have no choice.”

Gus Edwards said, “No time to sulk.”

While players will focus on rest and recovery in the coming days, coaches will dive into film and prepare a game plan.

Any way you look at it, Thursday’s game will have massive implications for the AFC Wild Card.

The Chargers’ loss in Week 15, coupled with Denver’s win over Indianapolis on Sunday, dropped the Broncos to sixth place. The Bolts are now in the seventh and final playoff spot.

According to NFL Next Gen Stats, the Chargers still have an 87 percent chance of making the playoffs.

But they know now is the time to take action.

“At the end of the day, I know the guys are going to respond well, come back and do their job,” said rookie Tarheeb Still, who had an interception on Sunday. “You can look at it as a negative, but I think it will light a fire in some people, really get them going and really give them a sense of urgency.”

Derwin James, Jr. added, “You can do it faster. Denver comes here, they don’t care if we lose today. They’re coming here on Thursday, so we have to be ready to go.”

The Chargers cannot secure a playoff spot in Week 16. Denver, on the other hand, gets there with a win at SoFi Stadium.

“When faced with adversity, it’s how you respond that matters,” Harbaugh said.
