NEW DELHI: Day 3 of Brisbane Test showcased Australia’s bowling dominance, with Mitchell Starc taking the lead by taking two crucial early wickets and leaving India reeling at the Gabba.
India’s response to Australia’s impressive first innings total of 445 started badly.
Although Starc was hit on the boundary on his opening ball, he immediately hit back and dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal on the very next ball.
Jaiswal, who scored just 4 points, was caught with an easy chance by Mitchell Marsh.

Starc continued his impressive career and fired Shubman Gill shortly afterwards.
Gill, trying to steady the inning, fell victim to a stunning diving catch by Marsh in the gully.
The Australian players celebrated Gill’s wicket with great energy, underlining their dominance at the start of the Indian innings.

Australia were bowled out for 445 in their first innings on the third day of the third Test against India. At 405/7, the visitors ended the Australian innings by taking the last three wickets for just 40 runs.

The five-game series remains even at 1-1.
