Suspect with San Jose Police ID, vehicle allegedly used in kidnapping

A 17-year-old girl was found safe after she was allegedly abducted from her San Jose home in a brazen attack in front of the girl’s father on Friday evening.

San Jose police on Saturday asked for the public’s help in finding Yasmin Carrera-Bravo, who was allegedly forced into her home in the 1300 block of Lexington Drive by a man who had driven there on Friday around 10:45 p.m to get into a vehicle.

The suspect, 25-year-old Noah Pimentel, is in custody, authorities said Sunday.

Police were looking for a silver 2006 Honda Accord with California license plate 9NNZ977 that may have been missing its front bumper. Police said a CHP Amber Alert was issued.

Police said in a news release that Carrera-Bravo’s father and an adult female attempted to stop the man and pull Carrera-Bravo from the vehicle, but were unable to do so. The man backed the vehicle into the woman and fled.

Pimentel was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Carrera-Bravo is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 100 pounds, with pink hair and brown eyes. She was wearing gray and white pajamas at the time of the incident.
