  • SAN JACINTO COUNTY, TexasA 7-year-old who was reportedly abducted from San Jacinto County has been found, officials said.

    Hazel Hodge-Lassiter was last seen on September 25 in the 900 block of County Line Road in Shepherd, Texas, and was reported to be with her mother, 41-year-old Ashley Doss-Lassiter.

    Authorities with the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office have not revealed where they found the young girl or who she was with.

    According to the sheriff’s office, an investigation was ongoing by Child Protective Services and went to court.

    CPS received a court order to take custody of the child, but when authorities went to serve the warrant Friday, the child and his parents could not be located.

    Authorities initially listed the father as someone they were investigating for the adduction, but later said he was not involved.

    At this time, San Jacinto County officials have not announced whether any arrests have been made.
