The greeting of Batiz, who served as a mentor to guitarist Carlos Santana, has been engaged since March, when he came to a church at some point; June was the best time to stay optimistic.

I admitted a few months ago that I am grateful to the music and blessed with enemies to continue Adelante.

“There is no other form of happiness than the fact that I stuck with my friends for a few years, played with them, celebrated, made music, and then it was my turn. That’s what I need, that’s what I had to look after for two years, on the guitar, alone, “quiero salir de esto para tocar”, aseguró.

Born on June 3, 1944 in Tijuana, Baja California, Javier Isaac Medina Núñez, previously known as artists such as Javier Bátiz, began his musical career 13 years ago with the band Los TJ’s.

Influenced by the blues and R&B of artists such as T-Bone Walker and BB King, Bátiz was fundamental in introducing these genres to Mexico. With his unique style and passion, I wanted to transform myself into a cultural and musical icon.

One of their great Logros served as a mentor to the legendary guitarist Carlos Santana, who on various occasions recovered the influence of Bátiz in his artistic training.

Thank you to your husband and your talent, the sound of Mexican rock is a fusion with international influences and has created a generation of music lovers and lovers of all kinds.

Throughout his career, Bátiz has received several reconocimientos.

In April 2023, the Baja California State Convention was honored for its cultural legacy and 66 years as a musical.

Recently, on November 28, 2024, I received the Slaves of the City of Tijuana, a house with its contribution to Mexican rock and its influence on Tijuana culture.

In an interview with EL UNIVERSAL last year, after 80 years, Bátiz reflected on his life and career: “It was so old that what fascinates me most is life.”

As I have had health issues, including neumonia and a cancer diagnosis, the music remained upbeat and subsequently built.
