“The White Lotus” season 3 release date and first trailer for Thailand

The White Lotus Season three is looking for love in Thailand.

The highly anticipated return of Mike White’s HBO drama series has been revealed with the first trailer. Set in Thailand, the season will be released on HBO starting February 16 at 9 p.m. and will be available to stream on Max.

“The search for peace can be a journey,” HBO said when it released the teaser trailer, which also says in a voiceover: “Everyone runs from pain to pleasure.” But they get there, only to find more pain to feel.”

The first season of The White Lotus Money was highlighted and in the second season sex was highlighted. Plot details for the third season are intentionally being kept in White’s vault, but the creator has said that the third season will be a “satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality.”

Here’s the short logline: “Set in an exclusive Thai resort, the social satire follows the exploits of various guests and staff over the course of a week.”

The nearly minute-and-a-half-long first look (below) expands on that promise, introducing the characters played by the extensive cast, which includes Carrie Coon and returning Natasha Rothwell, reprising her original role as Hawaii spa manager Belinda Lindsey, heard, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins (who said the offer moved him to tears), Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan and Parker Posey.

The cast is also rounded out by Blackpink member Lisa Manobal, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Tayme Thapthimthong, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Nicholas Duvernay, Francesca Corney, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel and Morgana O’ Reilly, Lek Patravadi and Shalini Peiris.

The White Lotus is created, written and directed by White; Executive producers are White, David Bernad and Mark Kamine.

Below are the first photos of the cast, including who they play and their character descriptions.
