Raiders Latest Injury Report: Maxx Crosby & Aidan O’Connell Updates for Monday Night Football

The Las Vegas Raiders released their final injury report ahead of their Week 15 game against the Atlanta Falcons Monday Night Football and sidelined star pass rusher Maxx Crosby (ankle). Making matters worse, Crosby is expected to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his ankle, which will likely end his season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Starting quarterback Aidan O’Connell (knee) is also questionable.

The loss of Crosby is a major blow to the Raiders’ pass rush. He leads the team with 7.5 sacks, while K’Lavon Chaisson and Tyree Wilson are tied for second with three each. Those two will certainly need to step up to put pressure on Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has struggled under duress lately with eight interceptions and no touchdowns in the last four games. Additionally, defensive tackle Adam Butler (concussion) is questionable.

O’Connell’s status is promising, but he did not practice this week after suffering a knee injury that caused him to withdraw early from last Sunday’s contest in Tampa Bay. O’Connell took part in a walk-through on Wednesday, but Desmond Ridder took over as first-team substitute during team training.

On Monday, ESPN reported that O’Connell will try to play, but Ridder is expected to play.

Cornerback Sam Webb (back) is questionable, but it looks like Nate Hobbs (ankle) will play for the first time since the Raiders’ bye week about a month ago. Hobbs had a limited presence on Thursday and Friday, but was able to fully participate on Saturday.

The Raiders and Falcons will kick off on Monday at 5:30 p.m. PST at Allegiant Stadium as part of ESPN Monday Night Football Doubleheader airing on ESPN as the Chicago Bears take on the Minnesota Vikings at 5 p.m. on ABC.
