Raiders-Falcons score live updates: Silver And Black Pride

Here are some live updates from the Las Vegas Raiders’ home game against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night:

First quarter

  • The Raiders got the ball first and showed aggressiveness on the first series, scoring the ball on fourth-and-1 at their own 37. Desmond Ridder converted with a goalkeeper. They then converted another first down. Then things got ugly. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers lost 10 yards on a flea flicker, then there was a tackle for loss and then Alexander Mattison lost a fumble and appeared to be injured. Ugly.
  • The Raiders’ defense responded by sacking Kirk Cousins, while Jonah Laulu (who was playing a lot of ball lately) came home to force a sack to force a punt that put Atlanta out of the field goal range. Position threw.
  • Tight end Michael Mayer was open on a long route but slipped and was able to grab the ball. Then the Raiders had to punt. AJ Cole’s punt was tipped, giving the Falcons the ball near the midfield line.
  • The Raiders failed to cover Atlanta receiver Drake London, who caught a 30-yard touchdown pass to give Atlanta a 7-0 lead with 14 seconds left in the quarter. It was Cousins’ first touchdown pass since November 3rd.

Second quarter

  • Raiders running back Sincere McCormick made a nice catch down the sideline that Atlanta challenged and lost.
  • Ridder can move and has picked up multiple first downs on the ground so far on Monday night. Daniel Carlson then hit a 52-yard field goal to make the score 7-3 with 11:44 left in the first half.
