Why Aaron Jones is able to outperform his rushing prop in MNF vs. Bears

Julian Edlow names his best bet for Bears vs. Vikings on MNF, including a player recommendation on Aaron Jones.

The Bears continue to slip in rushing yards allowed this season, giving up an average of just under 150 per game over the last three games. Even on the road, Chicago’s rush defense was even worse compared to home games this season. This puts Aaron Jones in a good place on Monday Night Football, with a familiar matchup that he has dominated of late despite being a strong home favorite.

Jones has been under some pressure in recent weeks, but was able to break out of his slump last week and is able to carry some of that momentum into this matchup with the Bears. In a win over the Falcons last Sunday, Jones finished the game with a 13-73-1 line on the ground, good for 5.6 yards per carry. That was his best YPC grade in almost two months. Let’s see if he can build on that against a team he knows – Jones just had 106 rushing yards and a touchdown on 22 carries against the Bears on November 24th.

With Chicago’s run defense getting worse, the script and matchup set Jones up for a big game on Monday night.
