Conor McGregor denies UFC fight rumors and prioritizes WWE star boxing match

Conor McGregor has dismissed rumors of his fight against featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, opting instead for a possible boxing show in India against a notorious influencer and WWE star in India.

As much as Topuria has denied any intention of fighting McGregor, especially after recent scandals, it didn’t stop the MMA rumor mill from churning when UFC CEO Dana White announced a fight in 2025, which fans ” “We’ll never fucking see it coming.” ” to UFC Tampa.

In a recent series of tweets, McGregor called the rumors “false” before highlighting his intention to fight Logan Paul in a boxing competition in India.

“The rumors of a fight with Topuria are false,” McGregor wrote. “I have made tentative arrangements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing competition in India. I agreed. I will then aim for my return to the Octagon.”

The Ambani family is an Indian business dynasty. The family patriarch Mukesh Ambani is the richest person in Asia and one of the richest in the world. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, a multinational conglomerate active in energy, petrochemicals, entertainment, telecommunications and more.

Holding a show in India draws attention to the growing Asian martial arts market, which remains largely untapped despite being home to more than half the world’s population.
