FANTASTIC FOUR: Mysterious actor rendered invisible in new FIRST STEPS set video

Although filming is expected to wrap this weekend or early next week, cameras are still rolling The Fantastic Four: Getting Started in Oviedo, Spain, and a fascinating new video from the set of the Marvel Studios reboot is now online.

The clip is only a few seconds long, but the footage shows a crew member pushing a mysterious person (most likely male) past the camera with a blanket over his head to hide his identity.

There’s a chance it could simply be one of the main cast, but that seems highly unlikely since we’ve already seen them walking around on or near set in costume and their involvement in the project isn’t exactly secret at this point .

Possible spoiler in advance.

The prevailing theory seems to be that this is Robert Downey Jr., who is rumored to make a brief appearance (possibly post-credits) as Doctor Doom in the film to play his lead role Avengers: End of the World.

There are of course many other options.

The first trailer for The Fantastic Four has yet to be officially released, but there are a few leaked versions from various events like SDCC and D23 making the rounds online.

Alongside Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, The Last of Us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things, A Quiet Place, Day One) as Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The punisher, the bear) as Ben Grimm, also known as the Thing.

Julia Garner will debut as Shala-Bal’s version of the Silver Surfer, while Galactus has also been confirmed as the main villain. The Eater of Worlds is played by Ralph Ineson (The Witch, Game of Thrones).

We’re still not sure who is playing Natasha Lyonne (the voice of HERBIE, the robot played by Ben Grimm’s partner Alicia Masters, are popular theories), but rumor has it that John Malkovich is playing one of the team’s oldest villains, Ivan Kragoff, aka the Red Ghost. There is also speculation that Paul Walter Hauser has been cast in the role of the Mole Man, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Kevin Feige recently confirmed that the film will be set in an alternate universe, but we know that Marvel’s First Family will appear in it Avengers: End of the World And Avengers: Secret WarsTherefore, we wouldn’t be surprised if they found their way into the main MCU timeline at the end of this film.

Filming is now underway and some set photos have surfaced online.

Directed by Matt Shakman The Fantastic Four: Getting Startedwhich is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
