Sonia Bompastor has made three changes to her final starting XI for Chelsea in 2024, with the Blues set to face Real Madrid in our final UEFA Champions League group game tonight.

Bompastor’s side will look to secure their place at the top of Group B when we take on Real Madrid at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium. We are currently three points clear of our top opponents, with a draw enough to secure us first place.

Following our final Women’s Super League game of the year, which ended in a 1-1 draw against Leicester City last weekend, Niamh Charles Erin Cuthbert and Aggie Beever-Jones have been named for today’s clash in place of Ashley Lawrence and Maika Hamano sits on the bench while Johanna Rytting Kaneryd is out due to injury.

Hannah Hampton starts in goal in her first Champions League appearance of the season. She is protected by a defense consisting of Lucy Bronze, Nathalie Björn, Millie Bright and Charles.

Cuthbert returns to midfield after his suspension and will play alongside Wieke Kaptein and Sjoeke Nusken. Our attack candidates against Las Blancas are Guro Reiten, Mayra Ramirez and Beever-Jones.

Chelsea:Hampton; Bronze, Bjorn, Bright, Charles, Nusken, Cuthbert, Kaptein, Riding, Beever-Jones, Ramirez

Chelsea substitute: Musovic, Cox, Lawrence, Perisset, Bartel, Brown, Jean-Francois, Hamano, Baltimore, Macario
