The Auburn Basketball Center leaves the Georgia State game

AUBURN – No. 2 Auburn basketball will be without its best player for at least the remainder of Tuesday’s game against Georgia State due to American Johni Broome’s early exit with an apparent shoulder injury.

Andy Burcham, the voice of the Tigers, said on the Auburn Sports Network that Broome is expected to be reevaluated at halftime. Shortly after halftime on Tuesday, Broome was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game, according to a program spokesman.

At 17:42 of the first half, Broome launched himself from the floor into the Auburn tunnel, holding his shoulder. At the 11:34 a.m. media timeout, Broome returned to the bench and sat at the end of Auburn’s bench wearing a hoodie and what appeared to be an ice wrap over his right shoulder. Broome had scored just two points on 1-of-3 shooting at the time of his exit.
