There’s just over a week to go until the big day and it’s clear that many of us have already started our Christmas movie marathons to get the festivities right.

And the beloved Home alone Franchise is at the top of the list alongside the other feel-good family favorites Eleven And How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

The festive flick was released three decades ago in the ’90s and starred the baby-faced Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard and Catherine O’Hara.

The plot of the first film revolves around eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Culkin), who is accidentally left behind when his family leaves for France.

At first he’s happy to be in charge; But when thieves Marv (Stern) and Harry (Pesci) try to break into his house, he fights like no other.

One fan wrote on Instagram: “He’s only 33!? I’m 30 and he looks 50!”

“I always thought he was around 40 in this movie,” admitted a fifth.

“Yeah, it’s crazy,” another agreed, “I don’t feel like I look as old as he did back then, even though I was actually that old in 2017.”

Macaulay stars in the blockbuster hit alongside his younger brother Kieran, who recently revealed the honest reason why he doesn’t let his two children watch Home alone Movies.

While discussing Home alone with E! News that Consequence The star, who shares five-year-old daughter Kinsey and three-year-old son Wilder with wife Jazz Charlton, said the film was unsuitable for such young viewers, explaining: “There are still some scary parts.”

“For the three-year-old, there’s the tarantula (and) there’s the guy at the end who said, ‘I’m going to bite all your fingers off’.”

“This is scary for a three-year-old.”

However, he further admitted that he could Let his children take a look this time.

“We think they might be ready for this Home alone this year,” he joked. “If not, next year.”
