  • Body shamers unfairly criticized Sydney Sweeney after media posted photos of paparazzi swimsuits online.

  • In response to this, the… Everyone but you Star showed off her epic workout routine.

  • The 27-year-old trained hard to star in a biopic about boxer Christy Martin.

Sydney Sweeney literally defends herself against body shamers in a swimsuit.

Let’s go back for a moment: last week, that Daily Mail and several other publications published paparazzi photos of the 27-year-old at her waterfront villa in the Florida Keys. In the photos, Sydney can be seen hanging out by the pool in a purple swimsuit and doing normal activities like walking around, adjusting her top, and doing her hair.

Of course, some people on Reddit went crazy, picking apart Sydney’s appearance while she minded her own business in her own home.

Instead of ignoring the ridiculous comments, the euphoria Star decided to post them on Instagram. Gems include things like: “She got pregnant? Stung by a wasp’s nest? Dive into a swimming pool full of donuts and chips? Good mourner!” and “Very old-fashioned, isn’t it?”

After scrolling through a lot of these comments, the video switches to footage of Sydney doing all sorts of badass exercises like boxing, flipping giant tires, boxing, and lifting weights like an absolute pro.

At the very end, the video shares a name: Christy Martin. Why? Sydney was training for the role of a professional boxer in an upcoming biopic. According to IMDB, the film is currently in post-production, but there is no public release date or official title yet.

And while Sydney has obviously worked hard to prepare for this film, she’s no stranger to being active. She told it before Women’s Health that she loves slalom water skiing.

“It comes down to upper body strength, balance, core and legs – you get tired very quickly,” she said. “After a whole summer (of skiing), I see such a change in my body. My arms are stronger and more toned. My abs are rock solid. But I never think of it as training because it’s so much fun.”

Sydney also loves hiking with her dog, Tank, and has practiced mixed martial arts (MMA) for years, she said WH. Running and strength training are also included. She is also a big fan of Solidcore, the full-body Pilates workout.

“It’s one of the greatest workouts you can do, it’s so challenging,” she said. “It just makes me feel so toned and strong, but also stretched, and it makes me feel so good.”

Sydney’s message to body shamers is pretty clear: take a seat.
