Matt Gaetz said he did wild things when he was single, but nothing criminal.

After a shocking secret vote supporting the release of the investigative report into Matt Gaetz’s alleged sexual misconduct, the former lawmaker admitted Wednesday that his 30s were an embarrassing time as he used to be a womanizer but much celebrated, drank and smoked He claimed that there was nothing criminal in anything he did. The complaints against Matt Gaetz came toward the end of Donald Trump’s first term. The Justice Department did not file charges against him, but allowed the Ethics Commission to continue its investigation into the allegations against Matt Gaetz.
A few days before this investigative report was to be released, Matt Gaez resigned from Congress because he was appointed attorney general in the new Trump administration. But the controversy continued and he was forced to withdraw his nomination as Trump replaced him with Pam Bondi, the new attorney general.
Matt Gaetz is not currently a member of Congress, but the Ethics Commission has secretly voted to release its report before the end of the year.
Two women came forward with the allegations against Gaetz, saying they received $10,000 from Gatex for sex between 2018 and 2019. At the time, one of the women was reportedly 17 years old. Gatez paid them either via the app or from an account belonging to Nestor Galban, whom Gaetz calls his “adoptive son.”

“I wasn’t accused of anything.”

Gaetz referred to the U.S. Department of Justice investigation against him and said he has been fully exonerated by the U.S. Department of Justice. “Not even a campaign finance violation. And the people who were investigating me hated me. Then the very “witnesses” that the DOJ deemed unreliable were assembled by the Ethics Commission to repeat their allegations without cross-examination or challenge from me or my attorneys. “I never had the opportunity to face an accuser. I’ve never been sued,” Gaetz said.

“When I was single…”

Referring to the period leading up to his marriage to Lucky Gaetz in 2022, Matt said he sent money to women he dated but never had sexual contact with anyone under 18. I never dated anyone, but who asked for it? I have NEVER had sexual contact with anyone under the age of 18. Any claim I have would be destroyed in court – which is why no such claim was ever brought in court.
“My 30s were a time when I worked very hard – and played hard too.”
“It’s embarrassing, but not criminal, that I probably partied, womanized, drank and smoked more than I should have earlier in life. I live a different life now,” he wrote.
