Dennis Rodman’s professional footballer daughter reveals how his partying lifestyle ruined her life

Washington Spirit and USWNT star Trinity Rodman didn’t hold back when discussing her strained relationship with her father, five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman.

Trinity was a guest on the latest episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast titled “The Truth About My Family” and revealed her difficult upbringing because Rodman’s partying lifestyle with “random sluts” wasn’t a suitable environment for her to live in.

“We went on an expedition and lived there for a while,” Trinity told host Alex Cooper, who mentioned that some might assume that money wasn’t an issue for her growing up. “We tried living with him but he throws parties 24/7 and brings random sluts over. He loves the spotlight. He loves the cameras.”

Rodman was known for his wild partying lifestyle – including his tempestuous marriage to model Carmen Electra at A Little Chapel of Flowers in Las Vegas, which lasted just a few months.

Trinity’s mother is Michelle Moyer, Rodman’s third wife. Moyer filed for divorce in 2004, which was officially finalized in 2012.

Trinity further recalled the emotional moment she and Rodman shared when he surprised her with a Spirit win during an NWSL playoff game in November 2021.

The USWNT forward explained that it wasn’t a happy reunion like the public had thought.

“I’m crying, nobody knows what the hell is going on, and I’m like, ‘Dude, my dad is here,'” Trinity recalled, adding at the time that she hadn’t spoken to her father in months. “Then I walk over and again there are cameras everywhere, he grabs my head and I just start crying into his arms like it’s a father-daughter conversation…

“I have lost hope of ever getting him back. I answer the phone now so my conscience says, ‘He needed to hear my voice’ before anything happens. That’s why I answer the phone, not for myself. He may not be a blood father, but nothing else.”

Trinity explained that she hasn’t spoken in detail about her father because she wanted to protect his image – but she admitted it was difficult to stay silent due to her pent-up anger.

“We never want to make him look bad, and that comes at the expense of strong restraint,” she said. “I guess it’s just that I’m having a hard time with the anger that I haven’t really been able to let out.”
