Huntsville Police are searching Hobbs Island Road. Hit and run suspect

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Huntsville Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for hitting a man with their vehicle.

On Dec. 12, a man was critically injured when a vehicle struck him on Hobbs Island Road.

Investigators believe the suspect was driving a 1990s or early 2000s Chevrolet pickup truck with a two-tone paint job: maroon on top and gray or white on the bottom.

Officials say there was a ladder tray and toolbox in the bed of the truck. The front driver’s side is probably damaged and a headlight is missing.
