Buffalo or wasp chosen as the winner

For one of them, Christmas came early Masked singer Finalists!

On Wednesday, December 18, Buffalos and Wasp battled it out for the Golden Mask trophy, and judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Rita Ora and Robin Thicke helped decide who would become the king – or kings – of season 12 would be crowned.

First, season five winner Nick Lachey (aka Piglet) opened the show with “It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” while host Nick Cannon, dressed as Santa Claus, handed out presents to the judges.

Each participant performed two choices, presented a sample of their real voice, and reflected on their voice Masked singer Trip.

“This experience felt like it was made for me, like I was finally getting the recognition I’ve been longing for,” Wasp said in his final clue package. “For a long time I felt underestimated in this industry. I started building my empire at a young age, dominating the Billboard charts and working with the best in the business, including several others Masked singer Alumni: Lil Wayne, Vanessa Hudgens and of course my ambassador NE-YO, who I asked for advice all the time.”

Still, Wasp said he feels like the world hasn’t seen “how big my talent is.”

“Sometimes I feel like I’m constantly overlooked and people still see me as the cute little kid with that song,” the Beetle continued. “You don’t know the depth of my talent.”

Wasp hoped to honor his mother with one Masked singer win. “I feel my mother being with me tonight full of enthusiasm and giving me wings for the last two performances,” he said. “I hope she’s proud.”

For his first selection, Wasp sang “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars. The jury suggested Wasp could be Mars, 39, Jason DeRulo, Daveed Diggs, Taye Diggs, Mario, Miguel, Frank Ocean, Anthony Ramos or Usher.

Next Buffalos said this The Masked Singer helped them “rediscover ourselves and our connection.”

“We had to fight our way out of the group, we had to deal with the death of one of the most important people in our lives, and we even had to change our entire sound when we lost a member,” one of the Buffalos said in their clue package.

Another buffalo said that their time was up The Masked Singer “was for our fans, for our children, for everyone who remained loyal to us” over three decades.

The Buffalos chose “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye as their first song.

“That reach was world class,” Thicke, 47, said.

The judges ran through their wide range of guesses for Wasp, including B2K, Bell Biv DeVoe, Blackstreet, Bone Thungs-N-Harmony, Boyz II Men, Earth, Wind & Fire, Jonas Brothers and Tony! Tony! Clay!

For his second song, Wasp chose Whitney Houston’s “I’m Your Baby Tonight”. Afterwards, Wasp gave advice to his younger self. “Your wings are like your intuition, trust them,” Wasp said. “Trust your intuition, believe in yourself. When you feel like you don’t have the answers, trust your intuition, they are your wings.”

Buffalos returned to the stage with Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes.”

“These harmonies make you feel like you’re walking through the gates of heaven,” Thicke told Buffalos.

The reaction brought one of the Buffaloes to tears. “That made me feel like we could do anything with these guys,” he said.

Cannon, 45, called the Dec. 19 finale “probably the most iconic episode ever.” The Masked Singer before the winner is announced: Buffalos, the first group to ever win the show.

“Thank you very much,” said one of the Buffaloes.

Before the winners could unmask themselves, runner-up Wasp dropped his insect head to reveal 38-year-old “Let Me Love You” singer Mario.
