Recall of classic Frito-Lay chips

(WJW) – Frito-Lay has issued a recall for certain bags of its Lay’s Classic Potato Chips.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s warning, the recall applies to a “limited quantity” of 13 ounces. Bag of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips which may contain an undeclared milk allergen.

The company said it learned about the problem from a consumer.

“Individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk are at risk of experiencing a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product,” the statement said.

According to the company, affected products were only distributed to retail stores and e-commerce merchants in Oregon and Washington. No other Lay’s products, flavors, sizes or variety packs are being recalled and no allergic reactions have been reported associated with the recalled product.

Recalled bags will have a “Guaranteed Freshness Date FEB 11, 2025” stamped on the front of the bag along with the specific manufacturing codes as shown in the table below:
