To get into the NFL playoffs, the Cincinnati Bengals need to win and get big help from other teams.

It appears that at least the NFL has some level of confidence that the Bengals will beat the Cleveland Browns in Week 16 to give the week after that some meaning.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that the Bengals’ Week 17 game against the Denver Broncos will be one of three games selected for a national slot on Saturday.

This game is now scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET and could have big playoff implications for both teams.

These Bengals must first beat the Browns in Week 16 to avoid elimination. The subsequent victory over the Broncos is part of the team’s complicated path to the playoffs.
