Sharing a photo from Season 1 of the cast as babies, he wrote: “When I think of the show, I imagine that first photo. A bunch of goofy young people doing something they think is cool but really have no idea what it’s about.” I feel like we’re still those people, and I’m lucky enough to still be there today to stand side.

In the photo, 21-year-old Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp and Gaten Matarazzo, aged between 10 and 12, pose alongside Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Natalia Dyer. “I hope you love this season as much as I do,” he added. “See you all next year. 🚲🚲🚲🚲.”

Schnapp, 20, also gave a lengthy farewell to the show and shared 10 “valuable life and career lessons I learned during his decade as Will Byers.”

“Two days ago I completed my last scene as Will Byers and I’m very emotional,” he began the post, before shouting out what he learned from the Duffer brothers, Shawn Levy, Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, Matarazzo , McLaughlin, 23, Sadie Sink and Heaton.

Ryder “sparked my love of film by introducing me to her favorite classic films like… Conditions of tenderness To Almost famous” he wrote, while Matarazzo, 22, “taught me that being a nerd is cool” and Bobby Brown, 20, “taught me to embrace my silliness.”

“Growing up, I always felt like an outcast, unsure of my place. But I’m “honored to share it with my incredible co-stars who get it in a way that no one else can,” Schnapp continued.

Schnapp described the Netflix show, which he joined when he was just 10, as “more than a job” and continued: “It’s been a lifelong dream. A dream came true thanks to the Duffers. “Thank you for taking the risk when I was just a 10-year-old child and trusting me with something that was so important to both of you.”

“Together, this cast and crew have created something very special, and I couldn’t be more excited for the world to see the final chapter.” Stranger Things is a never-ending story for me – it is forever in my heart.❤️”
