Stephen A. Smith warns Aaron Rodgers amid Ryan Clark feud

Stephen A. Smith urged Aaron Rodgers not to continue his ongoing feud with ESPN analyst Ryan Clark, suggesting the Jets quarterback should instead “show us what’s left” on the field.

Rodgers and Clark were involved in an exchange after the future Hall of Fame quarterback used his segment on “The Pat McAfee Show,” which airs on ESPN, last week to criticize the network for getting involved had transformed a broadcaster from “unfounded” or “stupid” views.

That prompted Clark to hit back, calling Rodgers a “fraud” and “tone deaf.”

Rodgers, for his part, said on the McAfee show this week, without directly naming Clark, that his critics needed to disclose their vaccination status.

Smith addressed the drama on his podcast of the same name and urged Rodgers to put the whole thing behind him.

“My man, ball and win,” Smith said. “Because the reality is, as great as you are, you haven’t won a Super Bowl since 2010. They haven’t been to the Super Bowl since 2010. And now your career is going in the wrong direction because of wins and losses.

“They want you to turn it back, turn it back to next year, with you, Davante Adams, here next season and beyond — do something about it, brother; Show us what you have left.”

He also warned Rodgers that Clark was a formidable opponent and that the signal-caller would not have the same platform as the former NFL safety as a regular football analyst on ESPN.

“You don’t want to attack Ryan Clark. This is not a winnable situation for you, Aaron Rodgers,” Smith said.

Rodgers has been making headlines in recent weeks thanks to his strong on-field performance in the Jets’ win over the Jaguars, the release of the Netflix documentary focusing on Rodgers and his feud with Clark.
