Hogwarts Legacy is an incredible experience for fans of the wizarding world, and as a huge Harry Potter fan, being immersed in the magic was a dream come true. Now that the $59 price at Best Buy has dropped $29, I just have to talk about it.

The game beautifully captures the essence of Hogwarts with incredible detail, from the iconic moving staircases to the familiar charm of Hogsmeade. Open world exploration, spell casting, and character customization were just a few of the standout features that made me fall in love with the game. In fact, it’s one of the few games I’ve ever played 100% through. This speaks volumes about how engaging, entertaining and faithful the Harry Potter franchise is. For anyone who loves the wizarding world, this game is an absolute must Must have now that it’s on sale.

Cup head

Cuphead is one of the most addictive games on Switch. It’s so addictive that I once missed my stop while playing it in one go! Currently, Cuphead is on sale for $25 on Amazon, which is a $15 MSRP.

With a charming art style that mimics classic cartoons from the 40s, don’t be fooled by the cutest graphics. Cuphead is a challenging game that requires precise platforming. This Switch edition includes the Delicious Last Course expansion (DLC!) with a new playable character, Ms. Chalice.

The offers for Nintendo Switch consoles are quickly booked up. In fact, some retailers like Best Buy appear to be sold out now, but you can still buy a Nintendo Switch + Mario Kart bundle for $249 at Walmart. That’s a savings of $50 and gets you a Nintendo Switch console as well as a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 12 months of Switch Online. If this tempting package has caught your attention, don’t hesitate, it may not stay in your mind for long…

Sonic Frontiers

Sonic Frontiers is a fun little game, and it’s worth the money since it’s down to $24 for Black Friday. The game focuses on Sonic, Tails and Amy as they travel to the Starfall Islands to investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Chaos Emeralds. After being separated from his friends due to a cyberspace anomaly, Sonic must explore the islands and face robotic enemies created by an advanced civilization. Meanwhile, a mysterious AI, Sage, warns Sonic of an impending threat.

In our Sonic Frontiers review we said: “As a full game, Sonic Frontiers has its ups and downs. But as an experiment? Sonic Frontiers is much better than it needs to be, and it successfully paves the way forward for the beloved blue hedgehog.

For me there is no debate about the very best Switch game, The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the answer. This must-play Switch exclusive has just dropped to a new low price for Black Friday. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is $30 at Walmart.

In my review I said: “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lives up to the franchise’s pedigree and more. It’s a remarkably confident sequel that refines and remixes elements of Breath of the Wild in wonderfully surprising ways. The aging Switch. “The hardware it’s limited to doesn’t always keep up, but that’s a minor blemish on an overall masterful experience that’s essential for all Nintendo fans.”

Get off the couch and get moving in Nintendo Switch Sports, the spiritual successor to Wii Sports. This sports variety package includes basketball, golf, football, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton and chambara (also known as sword fighting).

Available for $39 at Best Buy, it’s a good choice if you want to include your non-gaming friends or family over the holidays. Just don’t get too mad if Grandma hits you at bowling!

Super Mario Odyssey was released just a few months after the Switch in 2017. But all these years later, it is still unmatched and remains the best 3D platformer on the Switch console. Currently, Mario Odyssey is on sale at Best Buy for $29, which is a steal for a game of this quality.

You play as the legendary Nintendo mascot who travels through various kingdoms in search of Power Moons. Each new environment is unique and full of secrets. And with his new pal Cappy at your side (or should that be on your head), Mario also unlocks the ability to transform into various objects and characters, from a Goomba to a T-Rex.

If you’re looking for a Nintendo Switch game to last you until next Black Friday, even a quick playthrough of Persona 5 Royal will last you more than 60 hours. If you take the time (and you should), it can be stretched to over 150 hours and there won’t be a dull moment.

You play a seemingly ordinary high school student in Tokyo, attending classes and dealing with teenagers’ problems during the day, but at night you lead a group of vigilantes known as “The Phantom Thieves.” Persona 5 Royal is a modern masterpiece that combines dungeon crawling with social simulation and is wrapped in some of the best art design in gaming history.

SanDisk microSDXC card for Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch has a relatively paltry 32GB of internal storage, and even the Switch OLED only increases that to 64GB. It’s fair to say that if you want to build a digital library, you’ll need more space. Luckily, this won’t cost you too much as the SanDisk 128GB microSDX card is available on Amazon for $14.

Installing this officially licensed Switch memory card requires almost no effort. Simply plug it into the Switch’s SD card slot and you’ll have an additional 128GB of storage space to play with.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope has everything you could want from a sequel. It builds on the solid foundations of its predecessor, Kingdom Battle, and is a crazy experience full of charm and humor. But it’s not just silly, it also includes some thoughtful combat encounters that challenge you to think strategically and make the most of your party member’s unique abilities.

Speaking of controllers, if you need an additional (or replacement) set, you can purchase the Neon Red/Neon Blue Joy-Cons for $59 at Best Buy. That’s a savings of $20 and these are compatible with both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch OLED. A second set of Joy-Cons is particularly worthwhile for games like Super Mario Party and Nintendo Switch Sports.

The Switch Pro Controller is more than that Only Nice to have, it’s pretty much an essential accessory for anyone who wants to get deeply involved with one of the best Nintendo Switch games. Currently, the Switch Pro Controller is available at Best Buy for $49, down from $69.

The Pro Controller is significantly more comfortable to use during longer Switch sessions than the standard Joy-Cons and offers the same features, including HD rumble and motion controls. It’s also compatible with the Switch in TV, tabletop and handheld modes.

Sega and Nintendo were once bitter rivals, but Sonic is now quite comfortable on Mario’s platform. Sonic X Shadows Generations is Blue Blur’s latest adventure and an excellent remaster of a fan favorite.

Nintendo Switch OLED interface

If you’ve got your eye on a Nintendo Switch OLED this Black Friday, be sure to grab this Mario Kart bundle as it’s selling fast. We saw some retailers drop the price below $300 earlier this week, but the stock sold out faster than Mario can race around a race track. But even at $349, this is a great deal because you get the super-premium Switch OLED and a copy of a must-have Switch game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as well as 12 months of Switch Online.
