Fits LA The creators have found ways to connect the characters of the series with each other – in a very specific way Stephen Amellis Ted Black – to the popular original series.

Amell, 43, spoke with Weekly entertainment on Monday, December 16, about what special connection his character has to Gabriel MachtFrom the start, it’s Harvey Specter Suits The series states: “You will notice that behind my desk is a picture of a young Ted Black with what can only be a young Harvey Specter. So there’s clearly a story between the characters.”

NBC’s spinoff struggled to maintain Fits LA in the same universe.

“We showed up at the DA’s office together. So if anyone[from the original cast]were to come back, I would want it to be Gabriel,” Amell told EW. “I would really hope that happens because I’m a big fan of his character and I think that dynamic would really appeal to viewers.”

Amell said Macht, 52, was the “Suits” alum he wanted to guest star on the reboot/new show, just a month after rumors of Harvey’s return surfaced. Macht hinted at his return when he shared an Instagram post in November showing off his outfit, which included a shirt with the initials “HS” stitched on it and shoes with the name “Harvey” in the sole.

“When an old friend is in need,” he captioned the post. “It’s time to take care of things and do these very ‘things’ right.”

The original Suits film is set in a fictional law firm in New York City and follows attorney Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams), who began working with Harvey Specter. The legal drama, which ran from 2011 to 2019, focused on Harvey and Mike winning lawsuits and closing cases while keeping Mike’s secret a secret.

The series saw a resurgence in popularity in 2023 when it was added to Netflix and Peacock. NBC then developed a spin-off with Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis And Bryan Greenberg.

“Suits” found a loyal fan base when it first aired — but its Netflix debut has made the legal drama even more popular. In the USA series, which originally ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, Patrick J. Adams plays Mike Ross, a man who convinced a New York law firm to give him (…).

“We want to play the hits. We want to have a lot of fun,” said Amell EW. “We’re just sitting in the Black Lane Law group conference room right now because of Gabriel and Patrick (J. Adams) and Sarah Rafferty and MEghan (Markle) And Rick (Hoffman) and all the people who made up the original cast of Suits. So everyone is welcome.”

Amell made it clear that the door was open for more guest appearances, adding, “I’m not the one inviting them, but in my opinion they’re all welcome.”…We’ll do our own thing, and that’s fine . We’re doing things in this show that weren’t possible in the original.”
