Tyler Warren receives one vote for first place for the Heisman Trophy

Someone knows ball.

Penn State football star Tyler Warren received one first-place vote for the Heisman Trophy, which was awarded Saturday night. Warren was finished seventh place in the Heisman voting with 52 total points, including 35 third-place finishes and seven second-place finishes.

A senior who is expected to enter the NFL Draft after the 2024 season, Warren has been Penn State’s star all season. He has 88 receptions, 1,062 yards and six touchdowns through the air and 191 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Warren’s 17 career touchdowns are the most by a tight end in Penn State history.

Warren’s seventh-place finish in the Heisman voting was the best finish for a tight end since Notre Dame’s Ken McAfee finished third in 1977. In 2024, Warren finished behind Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, Miami’s Cam Ward, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, Arizona State’s Cam Skattebo and Army’s Bryson Daily.

Warren and Penn State are less than a week away from hosting SMU in the Nittany Lions’ first College Football Playoff game at Beaver Stadium. The game begins at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 21st and will be broadcast on TNT and streamed on Max.
