Texans’ Tank Dell suffers a horrific leg injury that leaves his teammates in tears

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was carried off the field on a stretcher during Saturday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs after suffering a serious leg injury during a second-half touchdown.

The heartbreaking scene occurred just over three minutes into the second half when quarterback CJ Stroud hit Dell in the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown pass.

Almost immediately after the catch, the second-grader remained lying down and was clearly in pain. He appeared to have suffered a serious knee injury while colliding with teammate Jared Wayne and a Chiefs defender.

The Texans players gathered around Dell and prayed for him, while Stroud was visibly shaken by Dell’s injury and even teared up as he watched.

According to ESPN, Dell’s left leg was immobilized in a brace. He was placed on a stretcher and carried off the field in a covered ambulance. He was reportedly taken to an area hospital by ambulance.
