Tiger Woods will be joined by daughter Sam and son Charlie at the 2024 PNC Championship

Tiger Woods was back on the golf course with his two children this weekend as he and his son Charlie competed in the 2024 PNC Championship – while his daughter Sam once again took over caddy duties.

On Saturday, December 21, the 48-year-old golf star visited the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, where he was accompanied for the second time in a row by his 17-year-old daughter, who made her debut as a caddy alongside her father year before.

Tiger, Sam and Charlie, 15, were seen in photos and videos wearing sports-appropriate clothing – Sam was carrying her father’s clubs – and smiling at each other as they prepared for a fun day of golf as a family.

The father-son duo has teamed up for the PNC Championship for several years, with the Florida golf tournament featuring professional golfers joined by family members for a 36-hole outing.

Tiger has told reporters in the past that he is always “excited” just to play a round of golf with his son, even though they make it “competitive” and use Charlie’s par to keep their scores counted more evenly.

“Charlie clearly loves the time he spends with his dad on the golf course,” a source close to Woods told PEOPLE in 2020. “It’s definitely a bonding activity for the two.”

The tournament runs until Sunday, December 22nd, when the final round begins at 9:30 a.m

Tiger shares his two children with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, whom he married in 2004 and later divorced in 2010. Charlie was born in 2009 while Sam was born in 2007.

“I just love being with them and seeing what they do, what they are capable of – the joys, the changes of interests. It’s just fun. We have a great time together,” Tiger said of his two children back in 2011.

In recent years, Charlie has followed in his father’s famous footsteps and begun to make a name for himself as a professional golfer. The teenager made headlines in April when he tried to qualify for the US Open. Charlie missed that mark but later qualified for his first USGA tournament in June, shooting -1 under on the par 71 course.

Charlie told reporters after qualifying for the tournament that he had his sights set on winning the USGA Championships, but also made it clear that his goal was to “hopefully one day win the US Open as well.”

A month later, Charlie struggled to qualify for the US Junior Amateur, missing the cut by 18 strokes. His father is the only golfer to win the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship three times, winning the titles consecutively at ages 15, 16 and 17 USA today.

In the past, Tiger has said he will be “proud” of Charlie no matter what career path he chooses, although he didn’t hide his excitement about sharing the court with his son when they competed in the PNC Championship Tournament for the first time in 2020 participated.

“I don’t think words can describe it.” Tiger said at the time. “Just the fact that we were able to have this experience together, Charlie and I, is a memory for a lifetime.”
