Are the Golden Globes locked up? “The Brutalist” and “Anora” predicted a win

Who would win if the 2025 Golden Globes ceremony were held today? According to our exclusive Gold Derby predictions, where more than 2,000 people made their predictions following the Globe nominations on December 9, 2024, we have the latest insight into the early front-runners for this year’s trophies.

Below is a snapshot of our film and television ratings for the 82nd annual ceremony, updated on December 20, 2024. Our predicted winners are marked with Gold. See how the odds and rankings have changed over time by checking out our previous Golden Globe snapshot from December 11th.

Two films are expected to win this year’s Globes, each taking the top three trophies: The brutalist in the drama picture, drama actor (Adrien Brody) and director (Brady Corbet); And Anora in comedy/musical film, comedy/musical actress (Mikey Madison) and script (Sean Baker).

Meanwhile, three more films are expected to claim two statuettes each: A real pain in Comedy/Musical Actor (Jesse Eisenberg) and supporting actors (Kieran Culkin); Emilia Perez as a supporting actress (Zoe Saldana) and non-English language film; And The wild robot in an animated feature film and song (“Kiss the Sky”).

Over on the TV side, Shogun And Baby reindeer are poised to go home with three Golden Globes: Drama Series, Drama Actor (Hiroyuki Sanada) and drama actress (Anna Sawai) for the former; and limited series, limited/film actor (Richard Gadd) and supporting actress (Jessica Gunning) for the latter.
