“‘Vanderpump Rules’ Stars Speak Out After Bravo Reboots Show With New Cast”

It’s the end of an era for Vanderpump Rules.

The VPR The original cast members react to the news that they won’t be returning for season 12. Bravo announced on November 26 that the series was coming back with an entirely new cast. Months of speculation followed that the series would be canceled due to cameras not rolling over the summer – the usual filming schedule.

“Where to begin,” Lala Kent wrote in an Instagram post. “I was a young girl from Salt Lake City coming to LA. I introduced myself as Lauren, but because my childhood best friend called me Lala, my nickname quickly stuck. Sur was a place that became home. Not only did I find myself there sipping vodka sodas, but also standing behind a hostess stand…it remains to this day the most intimidating job I’ve ever had. A short time later I had the opportunity to be in a show Vanderpump Rules landed in front of me.”

“I have such mixed feelings right now,” she continued. “It’s no secret that I don’t like change. This is the exception. I want to thank you for rocking with us for so many years. This show changed my entire life. I am incredibly grateful for every moment. I am incredibly grateful to Bravo, NBCU, our crew, the entire cast, and most of all, all of you. We rocked this bitch ’til the wheels fell off 💃”

Kent also shared a collection of 20 photos and videos from her time on the show, which she joined during its fourth season in 2015.

Brittany Cartwright, making her first appearance VPR as Jax Taylor’s girlfriend commented in 2015, before becoming a full-time cast member until 2020, “Oh what memories we made!” I love you LaLa ❤️❤️”

Cartwright and Taylor, who are currently going through a divorce, are now involved in the spinoff The valley. Sources said Kent, along with VPR OGs Scheana Shay and Tom Schwartz will appear in the show’s second season. A release date has not yet been announced.

Katie Maloney, who was there VPR Since its inception, she has also acknowledged the news and commented on her Instagram stories with a short but sweet message.

“It’s a mixed bag. But I wouldn’t change a thing,” she wrote alongside a photo of her from the first few seasons. “Thank you for the memories and love over the last 11 years.”

In the press release announcing the reboot, Lisa Vanderpump thanked those who made the reality series what it is today and offered a hopeful statement about the future.

“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary time filled with laughter, tears and everything in between,” said Vanderpump, 64. “I can’t thank those who shared her life enough. How I love you all. In the catering industry, one layer always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation Vanderpump Rules.”

Neither the new cast nor a premiere date for season 12 of VPR was announced.
