Bru McCoy, Squirrel White in CFP

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tennessee wide receivers Bru McCoy, Dont’e Thornton and Squirrel White will return from injuries to play in tonight’s College Football Playoff game against Ohio State.

All three receivers participated in pregame warmups.

McCoy suffered another lower body injury during warmups for the Vanderbilt game on November 30 and never played. Thornton left the Nov. 30 Vanderbilt game at halftime because of an upper-body injury and did not return.

White left the Vanderbilt game in the fourth quarter with an injury. His left arm was in a sling after that game. And on Tuesday, he wore a flexible brace on his left arm during training sessions open to the media. White was limited in several games late in the season by a recurring shoulder injury.

But McCoy, Thornton and White ran routes and caught passes during warmups. So they will be back in the lineup.

These Tennessee players will not play after entering the transfer portal

Tennessee will play Ohio State without nine scholarship players from the regular season because they entered the transfer portal. The most influential are linebacker Jalen Smith, wide receiver Kaleb Webb, wide receiver Chas Nimrod and running back Cam Seldon.
