“I have great faith…”

“The police commissioner is conducting a full review of all personnel, but she is also conducting a full review of this matter and it would simply be inappropriate for me to go into the details of these allegations, but they are currently under review,” Adams told Reporter at an independent event in Brownsville, Brooklyn on Saturday, December 21st.

“I have great confidence and the city has great confidence in Police Commissioner Tisch, she is conducting her review internally and we will decide how to proceed with these allegations,” he added.

Maddrey denied the allegations and resigned. “I think he has resigned and that resignation was submitted immediately and anything that proceeds with the resignation should be presented to his council and the police commissioner for consideration,” Adams said.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is now investigating the allegations against Maddrey. “These are extremely serious and disturbing allegations that allegedly occurred at NYPD headquarters in Manhattan,” said District Attorney spokesman Alvin Bragg. “We’re investigating.”

Recently, Epps made headlines for becoming the NYPD’s highest-paid employee during his administrative stint in Maddrey’s office. Pay stubs showed she earned more than $400,000 last year, including about $200,000 in overtime.

Epps later revealed that Maddrey proposed to her after she told him she was in financial distress. She claimed that Maddrey would have sex with her in his office on the 13th floor of One Police Plaza.
