Round 1

Usyk continues to move in and out of Fury’s reach, doing his best to neutralize the challenger’s attack with deft footwork. Usyk is hardly missing from combinations, but Fury seems a little more cautious than in the first few minutes. The champion continues his dedicated bodywork, but Fury succeeds with the leading left hook. Another very close round, but Usyk did just enough to put it on our card.

Round 4

The hectic pace continues as Usyk continues to land more often and throw less. Fury switches to a southpaw stance and Usyk lands a double combination followed by a massive left hand strike that seems to hurt Fury! He’s back on the ropes and the crowd is rising! Fury goes back to orthodox and fires back with confidence, deflecting the oncoming champion with a flush right uppercut. This is a high-level performance by both men, with so little separating them after four rounds.

Round 5

Fury lands a hard right uppercut to the body, his best punch of the fight. He finally uses his size and pushes the champion, tying Usyk to the ropes and trying to lean on him, but he manages to get him into the clinch the first time. The round ends with Fury charging at his opponent, throwing and landing more shots. Another very hard fought round but so far it was the easiest of the fight to score.

Round 6

The pace slowed a bit at the start of the sixth round, but who can blame them? Usyk lands an overhand right, but Fury returns with a jab-left hook combination. Usyk lands a crisp double combination to the head, interrupted by a left hand slap over the head. Another excellent lateral move from Usyk, who catches Fury with his guard down towards the end of the round and lands a flush left hand on top that leaves the challenger shaking! Halfway through the planned 12 rounds, we have another classic ahead of us.

Round 7

Usyk fights off the front foot in the first minute of the seventh round while Fury seems to be feeling the pace. The referee quickly breaks up all of these clinches, which benefits the champion. Usyk rushes in and lands a left hand on top that hurts Fury! Fury is in retreat, his activity is clearly decreasing and Usyk is hunting him. Towards the end of the round, Fury switches to southpaw again and Usyk catches him with another left to the head. Usyk’s left hand won the round alone.

Round 8

Fury is fading and one begins to wonder if his career-best weight is working against him. Usyk continues to maintain the pressure, moving forward inexorably and firing his left hand over the ceiling. Now Fury comes forward and looks to reestablish his jab, but Usyk remains a tricky target before catching him at the top with a combination and a follow-up body shot. Fury tries to hold the middle of the ring, but Usyk stays on the attack. Fury throws shots and then leans on Usyk in clinches, with greater success than in previous rounds. Usyk lands a few shots up top. A left hand from Usyk to the head and Fury immediately takes the win. Fury lands an uppercut, but Usyk fires back with a combination! A firefight ensues towards the end of the round, but Usyk gains the upper hand. Very close round, almost too close to have a say.

Round 11

Usyk’s all-out boxing makes a bigger statement than Fury’s occasional successes, which usually come with the uppercut. Usyk continues to push forward, throwing shots to the head and body from creative angles that Fury can’t explain. The challenger lands two heavy shots to the midsection, but Usyk just smiles. Usyk’s skill is truly impressive. He lands a left punch to Fury’s jaw that seems to stun the bigger man. The champion is in full command. Speed ​​kills.

Round 12
