Texas Longhorns release hype video against Texas A&M Aggies

AUSTIN – The most anticipated day of the year for Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies fans is almost upon us.

13 years after Justin Tucker’s kick was good and Texas earned its last Lone Star Showdown win in over a decade, the Longhorns return to College Station to renew the rivalry.

Tomorrow’s game has already been hyped enough since the schedule was released, but Texas continued a weekly tradition by releasing a hype video to prepare fans for the match.

The video was narrated by Ricky Williams, who played in Texas from 1995 to 1998. In four seasons, Williams and the Horns defeated the Aggies three times.

The full video can be found here:

The video illustrates the intensity of rivalry across multiple generations.

“A tradition that has been kept but never forgotten,” Williams says in the two-and-a-half-minute video. “Because rivalries don’t fade, they just simmer, waiting for the moment to reignite.”

In a ranked matchup, No. 3 Texas travels to loud and hostile Kyle Field to take on the No. 20 Aggies. The Thanksgiving weekend game begins at 6:30 p.m. under the lights of College Station, where over 105,000 fans are expected.

ESPN’s College GameDay will broadcast live in the morning to preview the matchup, which is likely to be the most heated of the week.

This will be Texas’ final regular season game, concluding its first year in the Southeastern Conference, and head coach Steve Sarkisian will look to end the year with a huge cherry on top.
