The son of golf legend Tiger Woods continues to prove that dad isn’t the only one in the family who can create magical moments on the golf course.

15-year-old Charlie Woods recorded his first-ever hole-in-one on Sunday at the PNC Championship in Orlando, Florida – an event where sons and daughters compete in a scramble tournament alongside their pro golfer parents compete in two rounds.

The younger Woods hit the 175-yard par-3 hole at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club with a 7-iron.

While the ball was still in mid-flight, Charlie asked to cut the ball. And that’s exactly what it did, landing about two meters to the left of the hole before gently rolling in.

Charlie stood in disbelief as the crowd of onlookers cheered.

“Did that go in,” he asked.

It wasn’t until he turned to Dad that it all started as Tiger gave him a celebratory hug before jokingly pushing him away.

To make the moment even more special, the ace team also temporarily gave Woods a share of the lead.

“It was great,” Charlie said on the Golf Channel broadcast of the tournament. “I didn’t think it went in. I don’t believe anyone until I go up there and see it.”

Then, just moments later, Paddy Harrington – son of Irish golfer Padraig Harrington – scored his first ace ever on the par-3 eighth hole, prompting another loud cheer and putting Team Harrington just a few shots away from the lead.

“It was just right and blended beautifully with the hole,” Paddy said.

“I’ve never been so excited,” Dad added. “I’ve never hit a shot that made me so excited.”
