Giants-Falcons Final Score: Giants lose a franchise-record 10th straight game, 34-7

The New York Giants set an unwanted milestone in their 100-year history on Sunday afternoon by losing their franchise-record 10th straight game with a 34-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With the loss, the Giants drop to 2-13 on the season, with their eyes now firmly set on the future and the 2025 NFL Draft.

“I was just worried about it,” head coach Brian Daboll said when asked about the losing streak. “It wasn’t good enough.”

The game began with a glimmer of hope for New York. Drew Lock connected with Tyrone Tracy for a 12-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, briefly giving the Giants a 7-0 lead. Tracy’s acrobatic catch in the back of the end zone marked the first touchdown of his career and showcased his instincts as a wide receiver.

From there the game quickly unraveled. Atlanta responded with 34 unanswered points, including two touchdown runs by Bijan Robinson and two interceptions returned for touchdowns against Lock. Jessie Bates and Matthew Judon capitalized on Lock’s mistakes with interception returns for touchdowns.

Lock finished the game completing 22 of 39 passes for 210 yards, with two interceptions, a lost fumble and a touchdown pass.

Amid the difficulties, rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers provided a silver lining for the Giants. Nabers surpassed Odell Beckham Jr. and Saquon Barkley for the most receptions by a rookie in franchise history. His seven catches for 68 yards gave him 97 for the season, surpassing the record of 91 previously set by Beckham and Barkley.

The Giants’ defense had some notable moments, including a goal-line interception by Cor’Dale Flott in the final seconds of the first half that temporarily kept the deficit manageable at 17-7.

The Giants are now the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, behind only the Las Vegas Raiders. Should the Raiders win their game later today, New York could move into the No. 1 seed position, offering a glimmer of hope for the future.

With only two games remaining, the Giants face difficult decisions as they look to rebuild their roster and become competitive again next season.
