Senior Day in college athletics is always a special day for everyone involved – players, parents and coaches.

But this year’s Colorado Football Senior Day was extra special for Deion Sanders.

Before Colorado’s regular season finale against Oklahoma State, Coach Prime led his sons Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders across the field at Folsom Field during the Buffaloes’ closing ceremony.

“Tough man. I can’t even explain the feelings,” Deion Sanders told ABC’s Quint Kessenich as he walked with his sons. “It was hard.”

He added: “It’s kind of emotional. The last time at home with several of my children and my seniors. It’s hard. Tough for a coach who loves his kids.”

Coming into Friday’s game against Oklahoma State, Shedeur Sanders has completed 73.4% of his passes for 3,488 yards and 30 touchdowns this season. His 3,488 passing yards rank fifth nationally, while his 30 touchdowns rank second. USA Today’s Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz sees Shedeur Sanders going No. 2 overall to the New York Giants in his latest NFL mock draft.

Meanwhile, Shilo Sanders had his best game of the season last week against Kansas, finishing with 13 tackles. Shilo Sanders ranks fourth in Colorado with 55 total tackles despite missing some time with a shoulder injury that led to surgery.

A win Friday against Oklahoma State will keep Colorado’s path to the Big 12 championship game open. The Buffaloes currently lead the Cowboys 14-0 in the first quarter on a 1-yard rushing touchdown from running back Micah Welch and a 10-yard touchdown pass from Shedeur Sanders.
