Two-time Super Bowl champion says Bills team is ‘totally different’

Von Miller has been on two Super Bowl championship teams in two different cities, but he has never experienced anything like the 2024 Buffalo Bills’ locker room atmosphere.

After being told by national experts that their “window was closed,” the Bills clinched their fifth consecutive AFC East Division title on December 1st. They are 11-3 overall and still have a path to the No. 1 seed in the conference division.

“This is completely different than any other team I’ve played on. I would like to compare it to the Super Bowl LVI team and Super Bowl 50, but I really can’t. I’m watching like everyone else,” he told Miller on Wednesday at Orchard Park as Buffalo prepares to host the New England Patriots in Week 16.

The Bills, who earned victories over the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions during that time, have scored at least 30 points in eight straight games. They have scored a total of 125 points over the last three weeks as quarterback Josh Allen makes a serious push for NFL MVP honors.

“About six weeks ago I realized this was special and I just wanted to be here. I don’t want to listen to the boys and have no outside influence on this or that. “I just want to be here and be present and stay in this special moment,” Miller said. “It’s really special that’s going on here and I just want to make sure I cross all the T’s and all Dot the i’s.”

The 35-year-old Miller, who missed four games due to a midseason suspension, has made 10 appearances as part of the team’s edge rusher rotation. He has 4.0 sacks over 230 defensive snaps.

“I really have no comparison. This year was just really special,” said Miller, who has 127.5 career sacks.
