My analysis
The Cleveland Cavaliers had a disappointing performance against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, suffering just their second loss of the season, but Donovan Mitchell held up his end of the bargain on the offensive side with 30 points and four from three-point range.

Mitchell enters today’s contest having made at least four three-pointers in two straight games and six of his last eight appearances, so I expect him to stay hot in Atlanta.

The Cavs’ shooting guard has always taken a high-volume approach from beyond the arc, as he is averaging 9+ three-point attempts per game for the fourth straight season. Mitchell doesn’t just shoot, though, as he converts 40% of his attempts – he’s one of only five players in the NBA to average 40% or better on more than 9 attempts per game.

The Hawks are the worst team in the league at defending three-pointers this season. Opponents attempted 42.1 shots from three-point range (30th) and converted 39.4% (30th).

If Mitchell wants to help his Cavs bounce back this afternoon, he’ll have to exploit Atlanta’s weakness and get hot from three-point range.
