To LanaSZA is back in her longing. Specifically, with the peppy title “Scorsese Baby Daddy,” she’s waiting for… well, a Scorsese Baby Daddy. “I could have called my mother / I’d rather give a shit about it,” SZA sings. “Addicted to the Drama / Scorsese Baby Daddy.” Excuse me? In the next verse, SZA explains that she’s looking for the kind of explosive relationship that Martin Scorsese’s gangsters, criminals, and rich guys often have. “I would pretend to make my favorite man call me delicious,” she sings. “Angry lady, then I wonder if I could, baby / One day I’ll understand all it takes to be a lady.”

Okay, but What Some kind of Scorsese baby daddy are we talking about? (And before you call her a fake fan, she met the guy.) Is SZA looking for an evil gangster? Goodfellasis Jimmy Conway or Gangs of New YorkIs Amsterdam Vallon? Or like a dissolute criminal millionaire The Wolf of Wall StreetIs Jordan Belfort? Or perhaps even a dedicated Jesuit priest like Sebastião or Francisco Be silent? (Hey, if he looks like Andrew Garfield or Adam Driver!) She certainly doesn’t mean Scorsese himself, who has been married to his wife Helen since 1999. But whatever Scorsese baby daddy she finds might want to listen to her Tarantino-inspired hit “Kill Bill” first.
