Travis Hunter’s fiancée speaks out angrily as he took photos with fans

Leanna Lenee, the fiancée of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, is setting the record straight after social media users accused her of being mad at him for taking photos with fans.

In a video posted to TikTok on Monday, December 16, Lenee defended herself against claims that she was over the 21-year-old Colorado star during his meet-and-greet at an Adidas pop-up event Buffaloes have been upset. The event took place on Saturday, December 14th at the brand’s flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York City.

Following the meeting, the Heisman Trophy ceremony took place.

“People say, I’m like, ‘What should I do?’ Just sit here?’ ” she said in response to a viral clip that was making the rounds on social media.

According to Lenee, the internet misunderstood the interaction.

“First of all, I didn’t say that,” she claimed.

She continued that the people were Hunter’s fans, but were Adidas employees who collected social media content with him after the event ended. She was just trying to figure out what to do next after the event.

“I said, ‘Should I sit here? Or should I go with the family? Or do you want me to come with you?’ Because again, what you don’t know with a seven-second clip is that they weren’t fans, by the way, he had already finished that part,” Lenee said in the almost eight-minute long TikTok.

His fiancée said she was “there the whole time, taking pictures, talking to them, everything.”

“It didn’t bother me at all that there were no fans. I never get angry with fans,” she continued. “So that was it.”

Lenee said when Hunter was about to leave the store to go to his Heisman Trophy tryout, she wanted to know whether she should go with him or stay with his family – who were in the store but shopping on different floors.

She previously explained that Hunter gave her “permission” to respond to the backlash she faced. Fans have accused her of being upset with him for talking to cheerleaders at a football game. They said she wasn’t his type and didn’t stand up to cheer him on when he was awarded the Heisman Trophy.

“The things I see when people make things up are really crazy,” Lenee said on TikTok. “Because that’s not what happened, and I just think people just find every single little thing and try to make it into something that doesn’t happen.”

Before Lenee posted her video, Hunter also created a video of her own. He told viewers on Twitch that his fiancée drank a lot of alcohol and cried herself to sleep after seeing the hurtful comments online.

“You’re going to hate me and then you’re all going to hate my girl. I feel the same pain as her,” Hunter said later in his video. “We are inseparable (sic), we are together. If it hurts her, of course I will too.”
