CeeDee Lamb surpasses Jerry Rice and Drew Pearson in win over Bucs

As he stood in front of the cameras and refused to move his right shoulder, it became clear the pain he was battling to remain available for the Cowboys as the season nears its end.

“Right now it’s just about staying healthy and keeping my shoulder to my body – I’m absolutely serious about it.” So, right now I’m thinking about it, maybe in the offseason or something, but I’m up Definitely grateful for the opportunity, blessed to be in this position and able to continue doing what I love.”

Lamb also passed Drew Pearson (489) for the fourth-most receiving yards on the Cowboys’ all-time receiving list – continuing his emphasis on the foundation he continues to lay as the newest worthy member of the 88 Club.

But wait…there’s…more.

Lamb also reached a milestone when he recorded his 100th career reception to help the Cowboys cap a drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown from Ezekiel Elliott late in the first half, taking a lead to 20 :7 against the Buccaneers, but this is even more impressive:

He did so after grabbing a 56-yard catch from Cooper Rush and then leaving the game after his injured shoulder was landed by a defender. He was officially given a questionable injury rating and immediately returned to the game to deliver the 100th reception of his career and what initially appeared to be a touchdown was overturned upon review.

“I really scored,” he said with a smile. “But yeah, my shoulder is out of balance. I won’t even lie to you. I’m just out there fighting and doing what I have to do.”

There’s toughness and then there’s CeeDee Lamb.
