CeeDee Lamb talks about playing through a shoulder injury in the Cowboys’ Week 16 win

Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb battled a shoulder injury to help his team to a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16, even though the Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs early Sunday.

You could see Lamb was in a lot of pain at times throughout the game, but he continued to fight to be on the field with his teammates. After the game, he gave an update on his shoulder and explained his decision to continue playing despite the injury.

“My shoulder is out of balance, I’m not even going to lie to you. I’m just out there fighting and doing what I do. It’s not fun,” Lamb said of Jon Machota to reporters The athlete.

When asked why he played despite the pain, Lamb said: “I love this game so much. I’m literally willing to put my body on the line for my boys.”

Lamb had a team-best seven receptions and game-best 105 receiving yards on Sunday night and didn’t let his sore shoulder stop him from having an extremely productive game.

After signing his four-year, $136 million contract this offseason, the 25-year-old has played all 15 games for the Cowboys in 2024. He recorded 101 receptions, 1,194 yards and six touchdowns. His 105-yard performance on Sunday marked the third time he had more than 100 yards in a game this season.
